11/22/2023 0 Comments Lenovo sys updateIt appears that Lenovo did not deactivate these properly in production devices. (update: ECP should always be flashed before than BIOS)Īnyway, despite the message I flashed the ECP/platform ROM and everything worked well.īTW I don't consider buying a new battery the best solution.īecause in the practise not all people need a battery and for old laptops the cost can be similar to the laptop price.Lenovo reveals on the website that several of its notebook devices are affected by three different vulnerabilities - CVE-2021-3970, CVE-2021-3971, and CVE-2021-3972 - that could allow attackers with elevated privileges to execute arbitrary code or disable SPI flash protections during the operating system runtime.ĮSET, the security company that discovered the vulnerabilities and reported them to Lenovo, discovered that two of the vulnerabilities affect UEFI firmware drivers that were meant only for use in the manufacturing process. However I didn't know what to do with FL2 file, I tried to flash as i did with BIOS but I received a warning message saying that version and code is not the expected. I managed to Flash the FL1(BIOS) and it is recognized and works. FL files have the format required by winphlash, so you can rename the extension FL1 to ROM or just force the filter to pick the FL file ![]() Winphlash can backup current BIOS and apply a BIOS with extension.
